Project Oligochaeta

Remember how over the summer I decided I needed some homemaking skills and so I embarked on Project Domestic Conquest?

Well, Scott has decided that he is going to start practicing for when he gets a first-shift job. This means that he wants to wake up in the mornings, which means that it's my job to call him and make sure he's awake, which means that I'm going to blog about it.

I did before I commented. Earthworm??

Wait, wait, so this project is to have me up and about in time to be eaten by early birds? That doesn't sound so encouraging.

No, we are making you into an early bird so earthworms are what you get.

There's a Calvin and Hobbes reference in here.

Your dad got it right away. I mentioned the post and he said "the early bird gets the worm"

I seem to recall something about that not being so great a motivation either given I'd never want to eat worms, but I forget if 'twas from C&H or Garfield.

However, naming it for the worm makes it sound more like I'm the worm than like I'm the bird.

Let's think more in the line of groundhog -- if I get up in time to not see my shadow, um... nevermind.

Or is it that he needs a wake-up call because he stays up too late playing Worms?
